Edinburgh

semi-overcast

May 18-19

May 18 we decided to go to Holyrood Palace. This was Mary Queen of Scots palace. A mile further up was her castle! At the beginning of our visit to Edinburgh Holyrood Palace was closed for Prince Charles. We took the bus over to old town and walked the Royal Mile down to Holyrood only to find out it was closed because the Lord High Commissioner was in town. (Guess we have to schedule another trip to Edinburgh, darn). Wanda dragged Sean to the Scottish Genealogy Center so she could gather information. We spent the remainder of the day up in old town before heading back our hotel room to pack up for our departure.

May 19 we flew from Edinburgh to London. We are staying at a hotel close to Stansted Airport and the bus terminal. Plan is to do some things outside of London.
